Kwu Tung North 279 is the first comprehensive development in the area, along the new rail line. The site is bounded by the Open Plaza at its North, facing a new MTR station and a Public Open Space at its East. The development consists of 6 residential towers, over 1,000,000 s.f. domestic GFA, a landscaped podium (below transfer plate) with Clubhouse amenities, an E/M mezzanine floor, 2 levels of retails, 1 Public Transport Interchange with 7 bus lines and one basement carpark, supporting retail and residential development above.


OOQ was invited to be the Design Architect taking up the podium, including the Clubhouse, Retail, PTI and  Basement Carpark working in collaboration with Project AP, a Tower Design Architect and a Retail Design Architect.


The development is well connected with adjoining developments with footbridges at the podium with 10m terrace setback. The 2 storey retail aims at connecting with public transportation, the PTI and MTR,  at each level and be the commercial hub in the proximity. Clubhouse of about 30,000 s.f. Consists of an indoor ballcourt, a 25m indoor swimming pool, F&B, and many other recreational functions. A feature House overlooking the 50m outdoor swimming pool, is designed to serve as the Function Room for the event. Many under plate areas are celebrated with landscape.
